Interior Design of the Disney Magic

disney-magic-atrium

The finest in artistry and technology marks the interior design of the Disney Magic. From its creation, the ship was meant to pay homage to the age when ocean liners—once the primary link between Europe and the Americas—represented an era’s very best artists and architects, and evidence of this purpose can be found on every deck.

Specially commissioned paintings, sculptures and woodwork, as well as rare animation cells from the expansive Disney archive make the ship’s Art Deco interior inimitable and distinctive. Rich detail can be observed in everything from the murals and framed pieces that line its interior walls to the gleaming fixtures and furnishings that fill its grandest spaces.

Step inside the luminous, 3-story atrium lobby—designed to recall an undersea garden—and find yourself greeted by a bronze statue of Helmsman Mickey, crafted by Walt Disney Imagineers to create a spirit of fun the minute you board. Overhead, you’ll observe a dazzling chandelier reminiscent of the rays of the sun. The same grandeur encountered in the lobby can be felt throughout all the surroundings aboard the Disney Magic, from its illustrious theatres to its stately stateroom.
