Recently the Universal Orlando Resort made the exciting announcement that a brand-new attraction will soon be added to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter! This thrilling new coaster will be called, Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure! This new ride will open on June 13, 2019 in Hogsmeade at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. This past week Universal shared more details on this incredible new ride! They did so with the help of two very special guests, Tom Felton, who plays Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, and Alan Gilmore, Art Director for the Harry Potter films. Tom Felton and Alan Gilmore joined together to share exciting details about this brand-new adventure that Universal Orlando guests will soon be able to go on! Here is an overview of what we can look forward to:
Your adventure starts when you join Hagrid’s Care of Magical Creatures class and then board magical motorbikes specially designed to make you feel the freedom of flight! During your journey, you can either ride the motorcycle or board the adjacent sidecar, just like the sidecar Harry Potter rode in alongside Hagrid! These two ride options will provide two very unique experiences! You can re-ride this attraction again and it can feel like a whole other experience! During the ride, you will soar through the Forbidden Forest and come face-to-face with some of the wizarding world’s rarest magical creatures… but be warned! In true Hagrid fashion, things don’t go as planned and your adventure takes a thrilling twist!
- This brand-new ride mixes a new level of storytelling and innovative coaster technology with detailed environments and sets! One of these sets features an actual forest with 1,200 live trees!
- Guests will enjoy a freewheeling coaster flight where they will twist, turn and speed forward and backward, at speeds of up to 50 mph into the dark forest!
- On the journey guests will encounter some of the wizarding world’s rarest magical creatures! These creatures include a majestic Centaur; a swarm of mischievous Cornish Pixies; Fluffy the three-headed dog; and even a creature that has never been seen in the films!
- Guests will rush past challenging obstacles, drop into an endless pit of Devil’s Snare and so much more, all while encountering a couple of surprises along the way!
