My Top 3 Favorite Pavilions in Epcot’s World Showcase at Walt Disney World!

There is no other place like Epcot’s World Showcase! World Showcase allows you to travel the world and experience 11 different countries and cultures all without ever needing your passport or having to board an airplane! Everything in each Epcot pavilion is authentic, the architecture, the shopping, the food, even the cast members who work in each pavilion are actually from that native country! This gives you a truly authentic experience and is a great way to learn about another culture!

There is something special about each Epcot pavilion. Each pavilion in the World Showcase is home to something unique that makes it stand out. I thought it would be fun to count down my top 3 Epcot pavilions and share with you why each of these 3 pavilions made my favorites list! Be sure to leave comments and share your own top 3 World Showcase pavilions! Here’s my list!

# 3. Mexico

I have always loved the architecture of the Mexico pavilion, the temple outside is always a great photo op! Once inside the pavilion I love all that there is to see and look at. The pavilion is set up to look like an outdoor street market at sunset. There are vendor-type carts throughout all selling beautiful Mexican art. Another favorite for me is the grand Fiesta Tour boat ride! It is something I have to do every time I visit.

# 2. France

I love France for its beauty! The beautiful courtyards, the architecture of the buildings, all of the details just transport you to the gorgeous county of France! The bakery here is one of the best spots in the park to grab a snack or a sweet treat! Also, the ice cream shop serves artesian ice creams, sorbets and even macaroon ice cream sandwiches! In a year or so the pavilion will be home to a brand-new attraction inspired by Disney Pixar’s Ratatouille! Another reason to love this pavilion!

# 1. Japan

Now this brings us to my #1 pavilion on my list… Japan! Japan has made my number one spot for many reasons. I love exploring the grounds here, from the gorgeous bonsai tree garden to the koi fish pond, the whole area is so peaceful to walk through! Inside the pavilion you will find the Mitsukoshi store. Epcot is home to one of the only locations outside of Japan for this popular Japanese department store! Here you can find many novelty items and unique souvenirs. A “must-do” experience here is the “Pick a Pearl” experience.  You can pick out your own oyster and then watch the cast member open it during a traditional pearl ceremony! You can then choose to get your pearl set in one of the many beautiful jewelry settings they have. This makes for a very special memento!  The food offerings in the Japan pavilion are incredible! My personal favorite is Teppan Edo, a hibachi style restaurant!
