New Offerings and Events coming to the 2018 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival!

This year the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival will run from August 30 – November 12, 2018. This annual festival is a fan favorite year after year! Many park goers even plan their visits to Disney to coincide with when Food and Wine is taking place! The International Food and Wine Festival features spectacular special events, educational culinary and beverage demonstrations, celebrity chef appearances, and the component that keeps guest coming back year after year, those delicious marketplace food Booths!

Disney has recently announced new details on this year 2018 festival! Let’s take a look at what’s new this year! This year will feature many brand new and original offerings including a new Character Dance Party, a Mimosa Bar, new dishes at the marketplace booths and more!

June 14, 2018 is the date that bookings will become available for Seminars, Demonstrations, Eat to the Beat Dining Packages, and Special Events!

This is the Food and Wine Festival after all so let’s start talking about the FOOD! This year will feature many new menu items at the marketplace booths located throughout the World Showcase and Future World. There are many exciting details to come about the new items but for now we do know a few of the new culinary offerings.

New Brunswick Slider

The Hops & Barley Booth located near the American Adventure Pavilion will offer a New Brunswick Slider featuring Slow-braised Beef Brisket “Pot Roast Style” with Horseradish Cream, Crispy Fried Onions on a Potato Roll with Pickled Vegetables on the side.

Vegetarian Butternut Squash Ravioli

Over at the Wine & Dine Studio guests will find a vegetarian Butternut Squash Ravioli with Brown Butter Vinaigrette, Parmesan Cheese, and Pumpkin Seeds.

Charred Chimichurri Skirt Steak

Flavors from Fire is a newer booth that has made its debut in recent years and it has instantly become a popular stop for festival goers! The fan favorite booth will return this year and be home to a Charred Chimichurri Skirt Steak with smoked Corn Cake with Pickled Vegetable Slaw and Cilantro.

New Offerings at the Festival!

Mimosa Bar

Be sure to swing by this year’s Festival Center during your Food and Wine visit. The festival center is always a great stop because it serves as the hub for all things festival related. Here is where you can find seminars, demos, special exhibits and festival merchandise.  In addition to all that fun the Festival Center is about to get even more exciting! Here guests will find a brand new Mimosa Bar! In addition to the selection of mimosas the location will also feature wine, local beers, and other food items.

Disney Character Dance Party

Friday and Saturday evenings during the duration of this year’s International Food and Wine Festival will offer a Disney Character Dance Party! Here guests can let loose and party with some of their favorite Disney characters! This is a festival first and I personally can’t wait to see what is in store with this dance party!
