This Saturday May 19th 2018 will be a historic date! As it is the wedding day for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle! The Royal Wedding has everyone talking and has created a stir of excitement all around the world! This past week Disney joined in the wedding fun and celebrated the special occasion in true Disney style! Disney partnered with Good Morning America and held a contest where they searched for one lucky couple to win the ultimate Disney Fairytale Royal Wedding!
Disney and GMA received over 2,500 entries. They selected a very deserving couple Alexis and Jay to receive this incredible Disney wedding. Alexis and Jay are both huge Disney fans and even got engaged at the Walt Disney World Resort. This past year the couple was affected by Hurricane Harvey. The damage and loss of property that the devastation caused, resulted in them sadly having to put their wedding plans on hold. When the opportunity came around to enter this incredible sweepstakes provided by Disney and GMA the couple decided to give it a shot and submitted their entry. Once Disney heard Alexis and Jay’s story they knew they found the perfect couple who was deserving of the royal treatment!
The wedding took place on May 10th at 8:30am in Magic Kingdom right in front of Cinderella’s Castle. The ceremony was broadcasted live on Good Morning America. The wedding truly was fit for a Prince and Princess!
