Soon, China will have their very own Disneyland in Shanghai that is expected to open in Spring 2016. The Shanghai Disneyland will offer six themed parks, including attractions based on the “Star Wars” and “Marvel Universe” franchises, along with the classic movies and themes we all know and love.
This new international Disneyland will be similar to the original one, with a few key differences that make sense from a certain standpoint. Signs will be in Chinese rather than English, and there will be a bit of a difference in the Tomorrowland area. The new park will have an area called Gardens of Imagination, which feature the famous Dumbo ride, plus a stage show called Ignite the Dream: A Nighttime Spectacular of Magic and Light.
There will also be a Fantasyland, inspired by Disney’s animated films, which will be the largest land and home to the Enchanted Storybook Castle. There will also be a Hundred Acre Woods with Winnie the Pooh, and a dazzling Wonderland maze that guests can follow Alice through.
It will be the fourth Disney resort that John Lindsay, vice president of walt Disney Imagineering, has helped build.
