This week, we wanted to share some ideas about how to keep your electronic gadgets charged on the road, and these days it’s pretty common to travel with multiple gadgets. You might have a laptop, and a cell phone and an iPod. And, one of the simplest pieces of advice is, simply, to bring your charger, because there is few things that are more frustrating than having your cell phone losing power at night, and suddenly you realize you didn’t bring your charger. So, we suggest that you put your charger in your toiletry kit, just so you always know where it is.
If you have multiple gadgets though, one way of avoiding bringing too many chargers is to bring a USB adapter and just charge all of your gadgets through your laptop. And usually it will adapt to several different types of gadgets. This is very useful sometimes.
Another thing to keep in mind is that an airport, there’s outlets and plugs in many places, but you don’t want to monopolize those outlets, because you want to be courteous to other people in the airport. So, if you’re going to be charging a lot of gadgets at once you might bring a power strip so that you can plug into one outlet, and then you can charge multiple gadgets at once.
And, on a final note, we might add for international travelers, keep in mind that not all of the power outlets worldwide are the same as what we have in the United States, so you might buy a nice multiple-use international adapter. Keep it with you, and that way you won’t be stuck with a dead gadget out overseas.
We hope that these ideas help you stay charged and connected, and remember, just a little pre-planning can help in the long run!
