Budget Friendly Meals at Walt Disney World

Disney outdoor dining at Liberty Inn

Well, you’ve finally saved up the money to take tour family on that Disney vacation that you’ve been promising. Now if you could just find a way to eat while you’re there everything would be perfect. That might be a slight exaggeration, but we all know that the price of amusement park dining can be outrageous if you don’t know where to look. These are a few of the places that can be found in Walt Disney World where you can have a nice meal with your family and still have enough to buy a few souvenirs.(I’ll save the prices of those for another story)

The Liberty Inn, located in Epcot’s World Showcase is a fast food style restaurant that offers typical all-American foods like barbecued pork and chicken, cheeseburgers, and hot dogs. There are also several vegetarian and kosher meals available along with various desserts. There is also a limited children’s menu. Most adult meals are under $15, and some diner’s plans are accepted.

A fast food meal may be all right for lunch, but after a long day at the park, you’ll probably be ready for a good, hearty meal. The Trails End Restaurant may be just what you’re looking for. For breakfast, lunch and dinner they offer a moderately priced buffet and at lunch you can also order from an a la carte menu. The dinner buffet offers hearty home cooked foods like, smoked pork ribs, fried chicken, pasta, fish, and pizza slices. There is also a sandwich and salad bar available, as well as the soup of the day.

The kids may enjoy a meal at the T-Rex Café, where there are many kid oriented activities, as well as a very nice children’s menu. If you go into the meteor room you can experience a meteor shower every few minutes, and there is a giant octopus above the bare area that actually moves. While this restaurant is a little more pricey than some, the experience might be worth a few extra dollars.
