Here’s some tips on how to breeze through security at the airport. Much of this is really just a matter of planning in advance.

1.  Liquids over three ounces are forbidden in the airport. So you want to make sure you carry small items of things like toothpaste and contact solution, and put them in a plastic zip-lock bag in an easy-to-access part of your carry-on luggage, put them in the tray, and you’ll go through security just fine.

2.  Another thing that can be a little bit tricky when going through security is your laptop. Laptops must be taken out of the bag and placed in their own tray on the belt, so keep it in a convenient position so that it’s easy to take out and easy to put back in.
