If you are getting ready for your first trip to Walt Disney World, chances are you’re very excited, but in order to make sure that your trip is memorable in a good way, it’s going to take a lot of planning. Other than booking your hotel and making travel plans, the most important part of your trip will be deciding what park passes to buy.
Disney offers many park pass options, there is the base ticket, the hopper, the water park option, the list seems to go on and on, but it really doesn’t have to be as confusing as it looks at first glance. Disney’s base ticket option will allow you to enter one park each day. Tickets range from a one day ticket all the way up to the ten day option, you are given absolute freedom in your choices of how to use it. With this choice, you can go in and out of the park of your choice as many times as you like, but you can’t go to any other park during that day.
Choosing the hopper option will allow you to visit all four parks during the same day if you choose. This might be an option for those who wish to visit attractions for younger kids during the day, and allow older children to choose a different park in the evening.
Whatever pass combination you choose, it can be upgraded at any time, as long as you have one day left on your ticket. For those planning a shorter stay, the base pass is a good choice because while you can always upgrade, you won’t have your money refunded after the ticket is already purchased.
