On my most recent trip to Walt Disney World I got to enjoy a new experience for me, attending Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party! Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party is a separately ticketed event that takes place on select nights at Magic Kingdom Park during the fall season! For the event the park is transformed into a festive Halloween soirée! The event is family friendly, focusing on the fun side of Halloween with just the right balance of a few spooky delights! The party includes special attraction overlays, exclusive character meet and greets, speciality entertainment and show offerings, a Halloween parade and fireworks show, trick or treating in the Magic Kingdom and so much more!!
One of my personal favorite experiences was the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular! If you are a fan of the Hocus Pocus film then this is a can’t miss experience! I also loved the enhancement of live actors inside of the Pirates of the Caribbean! Pirates of the Caribbean is one of my favorite rides in all of Magic Kingdom and the element of live actors in the actual ride made it feel like a brand-new experience! I also loved riding the Haunted Mansion during the party! The cast members at the mansion go all out during the party with ghostly makeup and costumes. There is also a Haunted Mansion ghost who sits on the lawn out-front of the mansion telling her story and interacting with the crowd! We stood and watched her for a few minutes after riding the attraction. Her routine as well as her improv with the crowd was hilarious! We loved it!
There are more ride enhancements such as special lighting effects and a music overlay to the Mad Tea Party. Also, you can ride Space Mountain in the pitch black! Another amazing benefit with Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is due to the fact that this is a separately ticketed event and there are only so many tickets sold for each night, you are able to enjoy the park with very low crowd levels! This perk alone makes the party so worth it! We were able to enjoy so many rides, most were walk-ons or a 5-minute wait at most. Even the more popular attractions didn’t have more than around a 20-minute wait!
We had the best night during Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party! It is a definite must-do when coming to Disney during the Halloween season!
