Best Ways to Spend a Rainy Day at Walt Disney World!

Rain storms can be a common thing during summers in the Sunshine State. The good thing is many Florida storms are isolated and typically pass by within 15-20 minutes and then it’s back to those famous sunny skies! However there is that occasional day where the weather man may call for it to be a wash out and rain most of the day. But don’t worry, because the Happiest Place on Earth offers many wonderful activities and things to do that will keep you dry and out of the weather. Here are my top 3 ideas on fun ways to spend a rainy day at Disney.

Shopping at Disney Springs

Disney Springs is a hub of amazing shopping, here you will find everything from Disney souvenirs to luxury designer brands! Within recent years Disney Springs formerly Downtown Disney has nearly tripled in size! You can easily spend hours here looking at the dozens of unique stores! Disney Springs even has sections that are undercover so you can easily get in and out of stores while staying dry! When you have worked up an appetite from all the shopping, know that you are in good hands at Disney Springs! Here you will find the most wide range of eateries on property. There is a restaurant that is sure to fit what cuisine you are in the mood for! All of these offerings make for hours of entertainment making Disney Springs a great choice to spend a rainy Disney day.

AMC Theater

Going to the movies is a great activity for a rainy day. There is actually an AMC movie theater located right on Disney Property meaning you can go catch the latest film and never have to leave the Disney World bubble! The AMC theater can be found at Disney Springs on the ‘West Side.’ This full service movie theater even has a section of dine-in theaters. The menu is full of delicious items and offers everything from appetizers and snacks to full entrees. Seeing a film here is a wonderful way to wait out any storm.

Monorail Loop

The Monorail Loop consist of the 3 deluxe Magic Kingdom Resort area hotels, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa! These 3 gorgeous resort hotels are all connected by the Walt Disney World monorail. So once onboard the monorail you can explore and travel between all these amazing resorts all while staying perfectly dry! It is safe to say each of these resorts is kind of like a theme park in itself! Each has its own unique theme and offerings. All of the resorts offer a wide selection of shops, restaurants, bars and lounges so there is plenty to discover!

These plans are sure to keep you very entertained during a Florida storm and before you know it that beautiful sunshine will be back out and it will be time for more fun in the parks!
