The galaxy far, far away is actually not so far! Disney has now announced opening time frames for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, the highly anticipated themed land that has been under construction at both Disneyland California and Walt Disney World Florida. Galaxy’s Edge will open in summer 2019 at Disneyland and in late fall 2019 at Disney World.
Prior to this announcement, Disney only had said the new land would open ‘next year.’ This left many Star Wars fans anxiously awaiting more details and now we know more of a time frame!
Rocky spires and futuristic domes are being spotting behind Critter Country at Disneyland, the new land is revealing itself to guests one feature at a time! Over on the East coast at Hollywood Studios, guests can spy towering rock work and structures riding in the land from different vanish points throughout the park. We are so excited to be able to step inside the Star Wars story very soon!
Galaxy’s Edge will immerse guests in the Star Wars universe, transporting you to a remote trading outpost. The new land will feature two new and exciting attractions! One will allow you to pilot the Millennium Falcon! The other will drop guests into the middle of a galactic battle! Visitors to Galaxy’s Edge can expect never before seen technology and Disney innovations to power each new attraction!
