It is not a visit to a Disney park without a Disney Parade! Walt Disney himself is quoted saying that “everyone loves a parade!” All the way back to the opening day at Disneyland to present day at Disney theme parks worldwide, parades have always had a presence in parks. Those dazzling floats and world-class Disney entertainment hold a special place in many visitor’s hearts. One of the most iconic parades to this day is the Main Street Electrical Parade. When the parade debuted at Disneyland in 1972 it was ground breaking as a nighttime parade and guests were amazed by the way the twinkling lights danced and lit up the night!
During Disneyland’s 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration, Disney introduced a brand new nighttime spectacular parade called ‘Paint the Night!’ The shows twinkling lights created the nostalgia of the Main Street Electrical Parade while also breaking ground in its own way with new technology, a catchy soundtrack, and show elements that guests had never experienced before. The parade includes floats themed to many modern-day, popular Disney and Disney Pixar films. ‘Paint the Night’ also features many beloved Disney characters who interact with guests along the parade route!
The ‘Paint the Night’ Parade quickly became loved by many Disneyland fans. After the 60th Anniversary celebration ended the parade left Disneyland Park and went to Hong Kong Disneyland for a while. We are very excited to share the news with ‘Paint the Night’ fans that the popular parade will be returning to the Disneyland Resort! This time to parade will be next door to the Disneyland Park at Disney’s California Adventure Park!
Paint the Night will make its California Adventure debut on April 13th 2018! The return of the Paint the Night Parade coincides with the beginning of California Adventure’s ‘Summer’s Pixar Fest.’
Disney will be offering two dining packages that will give you the opportunity to enjoy a meal or dessert party and then take advantage of a reserved viewing area for the parade. Here are all the details on the two packages:
Paint the Night Parade Dining Package
The Paint the Night Parade Dining Package may be booked at your choice of two restaurants. These restaurants are Carthay Circle or Wine Country Trattoria
Carthay Circle
The dinner package at Carthay Circle includes a 4-course dinner from a prix fixe menu and includes one voucher for guaranteed seating at a reserved parade viewing area next to the restaurant. Pricing starts at $99 for adults, and $45 for children ages 3 to 9.
Wine Country Trattoria
At Wine Country Trattoria you will have your choice of lunch or dinner. The package includes a 3-course meal from a prix fixe menu and includes one voucher for a space at a reserved parade viewing area. Lunch pricing starts at $38 for adults, and $21 for children ages 3 to 9. Dinner pricing starts at $49 for adults, and $25 for children ages 3 to 9.
Sonoma Terrace Paint the Night Dessert Reception
The Sonoma Terrace Paint the Night Dessert Reception includes desserts and a charcuterie tray accompanied by wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages. Guests who purchase this experience will also receive a boxed truffle assortment to take home at the end of the evening! The price is $79 per guest (tax and gratuity are included).
