Disney’s Contempo Café serves casual style American cuisine for breakfast lunch and dinner. The menu is full of fresh, delicious choices so everyone in your party is sure to find something that they will enjoy.
The Contempo Café is located at Disney Contemporary Resort. The resort is a stop on the Disney monorail loop so it is easily accessible to all guests who are looking for a break from the hustle and bustle of the theme parks. You can board the resort monorail at Magic Kingdom and be here in seconds! Stopping over for a meal can be a great little breather from a fun filled day in the parks or a great last minute stop on the monorail loop before heading back to the transportation and ticket center at night.
The restaurant is located out front of Chef Mickey’s. You can take your meals to go or sit in the café’s seating area. As you dine you will enjoy views of the Contemporary’s signature piece of art, the massive mural by Mary Blair. Directly above you, you can watch the monorails come and go from the station inside the hotel. The food here is a lot more than your standard theme park burgers and fries. There are a lot of unique offerings to enjoy! Let’s take a look at a few of the menu items.
Breakfast
For breakfast the Contempo Café serves up classic breakfast staples including:
Bounty Platter – which is full of a sampling of popular items such as scrambled eggs, bacon, pork sausage, breakfast potatoes, season fruit and everyone’s favorite mini Mickey waffles! The bounty platter is a great way to start your day! It is also a very large portion and very shareable.

Steel-Cut Oatmeal – topped with fresh Berries and Brown Sugar
Grilled Breakfast Sandwich – with Egg, Ham and Three-Cheese Blend on Toasted Brioche

In addition to the regular menu selections the Contempo Café also offers a Kid’s menu during all meal periods that includes smaller portions and kid-friendly food that will make even the pickiest eaters happy!
Grad-and-go
In addition to the menu items the café also serves as a grab and go spot selling, snacks, fruit, drinks, pastries, cupcakes, desserts and more. A resort mug refill station is also available at the location.
Mobile Ordering
It has recently been announced that this dining location will now be participating in the Disney mobile ordering service. This new service allows guests to skip the line and order and pay for their food through the My Disney Experience App. This new service is a great way to save time and get the most out of your vacation.
On my recent stay at the Contemporary, I had the opportunity to dine here twice and enjoyed both my meals. I consider this great dinning location to be a hidden gem among quick-service locations. Check out the Contempo Café on your next visit!
