EVERY DINO HAS HIS DAY: It was a “Lucky” day for young Einsteins like five-year-old Georgia Reed-Stamm (left) and 10-year-old Sydney Marcus attending the first-ever World Science Festival at NYU in New York City May 31, 2008. Disney Imagineering’s Lucky the Dinosaur roamed the streets of Washington Square Park meeting guests during a day-long street fair celebrating the wonders of science. Lucky is the first of a new generation of Audio-Animatronics innovations under development by Walt Disney Imagineers. Imagineers were on hand for the Science of Disney Imagineering session created to inspire kids to pursue careers in science. During the festival, curious youngsters will have the rare opportunity to hear first-hand how Disney creates magic in its theme parks through robotics, special effects, physics and storytelling.
