Fort Wilderness Campground
Walt Disney World
One of the best kept secrets
in Florida is the Fort Wilderness Campground located on
approximately seven hundred beautiful acres of the Disney
world property.
With full hookups this is one of the most tranquil
campgrounds you will find anywhere, but to have it inside
the Disney complex where thousands of people from around the
world visit each day is truly an amazing thing.
For those folks who would rather sleep in their own beds,
have their own food, and have their pets with them all of
the time, yet they wish to enjoy the magic of Disney World
this is great place to bring your Recreational Vehicle and
spend some quality time with family and friends. |

| For those who
wish to find other activities other than visiting the theme
parks, you can stay very busy here. Take a bicycle ride
around the campground and watch the wildlife such as deer,
raccoons, opossums and squirrels. For those who enjoy
fishing there is Bay Lake where you can rent a boat and try
your luck catching one of Florida’s most prized trophies,
the Largemouth Bass. For those who would rather stay on dry
land there are canals that also are worth fishing. You may
also rent canoes, kayaks, and golf carts here in the
campground. There is a
stable where you may rent a horse and ride one of the many
trails or take a carriage or wagon ride. For the golfer in
the family Disney World offers five championship courses
that will challenge anyone.

There are lots of activities that will entertain the entire
family while staying in Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground
such as the Hoop Dee Doo Revue, a dinner show featuring
singers and dancers accompanied by a piano and banjo
performing slapstick humor and corny jokes that will bring
on the laughter in the entire family. Mickey’s Backyard BBQ
is also a big hit with families or join in a campfire
program for some roasted marshmallows and family fun.
Fort Wilderness Campground has
the Meadow Trading Post where you will find needed supplies
such as groceries, milk, bread and frozen dinners and
everyone’s favorite the hot dog.
When the family is ready to
visit one of the theme parks the good folks with Disney
provide transportation to take you and return you to your
home away from home. |
