Child Care at Walt Disney World

Nine of the nineteen Walt Disney World Resorts offer on site childcare centers. These childcare centers are most often referred to as clubs, dens or clubhouses.

These childcare centers are available for guests staying at a Walt Disney World resort. Play is supervised but not organized.

Many of the services and amenities offered are common to all of the centers, while certain operational aspects may be resort/club specific.

In general the services and amenities include:

Open from 4:30pm until midnight

Available to children ages 4-12, (children must be toilet trained)

Pagers are provided

Cost is $10/hour/child, dinner is included and is usually typical children's fare

Activities include an abundance of games, arts and crafts, video games and Disney movies.

Reservations recommended with a credit card guarantee. Walk-ins are accommodated on a first come first serve basis.

24-hour cancellation policy exists and includes no shows and same day cancellations, which will result in a $15.00 per child charge. Reservations will be held for 30 minutes before they are released to other guests.

Prices, times and specifics of each club are subject to change, so for up to the minute details on childcare call Walt Disney World for the latest information. You can contact the club directly or call (407) 939-3463.

So, if you are fortunate enough to be staying at one of Walt Disney World’s deluxe resorts relax. Each of these resorts has a child care center available for convenient child care.

If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort that does not offer one of these clubs, then simply select a restaurant at a Disney resort that does. The kids can come along and you can drop them off before heading to your special dinner and simply pick them up afterwards.

You may want to consider a restaurant located at Disney’s BoardWalk such as the “Flying Fish” where you can also find some nighttime adult entertainment for after dinner. Simply utilize one of the “Clubs found at Disney’s Boardwalk Inn or Beach Club located nearby.

Another great option for guests without a childcare center located at their resort is Disney’s Neverland Club, which is located at Disney’s Polynesian Resort. Easily accessed from Disney’s Ticket & Transportation Center guests can leave their children at one of Walt Disney Worlds most popular child care centers and find an array of dining options at either Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Polynesian Resort or Grand Floridian Resort, all of which can be accessed by monorail.

In room baby sitting services are also available for those children under four years of age.
