A
Most Special Time in a Most Magical Place
In this article we will share with you some of the Holiday Joy offered at
the Walt Disney World Resort®. Whether its gathering with family and friends to
hear the Christmas story presented by candlelight at Epcot®, marveling at
the snow on Main Street U.S.A in the Magic Kingdom®
Park or waving to Santa in
a character-filled parade there is much to do and enjoy during the
holidays.
In the Magic Kingdom®
Park some guests may choose Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas
Party an evening of fireworks, parades and holiday festivities, while
at Epcot®
guests enjoy Holidays around the World and the classic Candlelight
Processional with a celebrity narration of the Christmas story, that is
accompanied by a full orchestra and choir. Disney-Hollywood Studios will once
again this year play host to The Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights and
guests in Downtown Disney®
can enjoy holiday entertainment, dazzling lights
and the festive window displays.

Food & Wine pairing
One of the tasty and fun special events that guests enjoying the Walt
Disney World® International Food and Wine Festival at Epcot® can
attend is a Food & Wine Pairing.
Guests are served three different tastes from one of the Epcot®
signature restaurants and accompanying these tasting portions is the
opportunity to discover three wines paired to compliment each food
“Selection”.
My introduction to this tasty and educational culinary event came at
Le CellierSteakhouse in
Epcot®. Was it worth the price tag and the
effort? For the answer to that question and a peek at the menu

Having Second Thoughts?
During travel dates surrounding Christmas and New Years at Walt
Disney World® guests will find capacity or near capacity crowds
throughout the parks and at the restaurants. The Magic Kingdom®
Park on
Christmas day will typically meet its capacity by 11:00am.
Having second thoughts? Don’t. With some forethought and planning
you and yours can still have a most joyous and magical time.
Which Way to Space Mountain?
Develop a touring itinerary before you leave home. Familiarize
yourself with some of the live holiday productions that are only
offered this time of year and select those that are on your must see
list.
Go Ahead Make the Call
If you have been appointed the designated driver for all things
dining, then do a little homework on what your dining options are
before you leave home and make priority seating arrangements. All
those extra crowds you will encounter while touring the theme parks
will have to eat somewhere. So, before you find yourself going from
restaurant to restaurant like a roving band of nomads in search of a
table and some nourishment make the call. For dining priority
seating call 407-WDW-DINE (939-3463).
Of Course We’ll be There
Many of Disney’s restaurants will be offering special holiday meals
and menus.
Disney is now requiring a credit card to make Priority Seating
reservations on all holidays, such as Thanksgiving Day, Christmas
Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day. You can cancel
at any time up to 48 hours before the day of your reservation. If
you cancel after that time, or do not show up for your Priority
Seating time, your credit card will be charged $10 per person. This
applies to Disney resort restaurants as well as the restaurants in
the theme parks
In each of our newsletters we give you an opportunity to test your
