Shula’s Dolphin Resort Walt
Disney World® Resort

Shula’s is just what you
dream of when you want a special restaurant for that special
occasion such as anniversaries, birthdays, promotions, or just a
memorable dining experience with great food and wonderful service.
For those who don’t know or don’t remember Shula’s is named for the
former coach of the professional football team Miami Dolphins who
are the only professional football team to have a perfect season. No
team ever did it before or after the 1972 Dolphins coached by Don
Shula. Shula’s is of course decorated with lots of football
memorabilia, action photographs, and signed footballs from the 1972
season showing scores of different games. With dark paneling,
indirect lighting, comfortable dining chairs, and high ceilings
Shula’s will remind you of men’s clubs’ from a bygone era.
Shula’s strives to give you the perfect dining experience beginning
with the manager who will greet you with a smile and this is so
refreshing to someone who loathes the lack of service and surly
attitudes so common in today’s daily environment.
After you are seated in Shula’s and are enjoying your before dinner
cocktail or glass of wine from the extensive wine list a delightful
waiter will bring around a cart with samples of all of the entrees
and give you all of the details of the menu which offers very large
cuts of the very best beef, lamb, and seafood choices. This show in
itself is worth the visit to Shula’s. Cuts up to 48 ounces are
offered, this would take a week to eat in our house but some people
actually do eat these large portions of tender steak believe it or
not.
On
our recent visit to Shula’s we both had the Filet Mignon which was
the most flavorful and tender either of us had ever eaten. The Filet
was served with mushrooms, baby greens, and green and red pepper as
garnishments and fresh bread hot from the oven served with wonderful
real butter. Each side order can be shared and there is more than
enough for two. The ceasers salad was great, not too much dressing,
tender lettuce, with crotons that literally melt in your mouth and a
great flavor. We also shared the twice baked potato and it was large
enough to satisfy the appetite of another diner if one had shown up.
My dining partner actually had room for desert and ordered Crème
Brulee that was the most delightful part of the evening meal for a
desert lover. Shula’s offers a wonderful assortment of deserts
including Key Lime pie, chocolate cake, and other decadent deserts
that will have you in the gym sweating for weeks.
Make it a point to visit Shula’s; it will become one of your
favorite restaurants as it has ours.
