This wonderfully themed restaurant, which is located in the main commerce area of the Coronado Springs Resort and is styled like an open-air market where you can choose from chicken, pizza, pasta, burgers and specialty foods.

This unusual twist to the standard food courts that are found at the other Walt Disney World Resort hotels offers guests not only a relaxing place to enjoy lunch, but also some unexpected surprises.

Wait staff are present everywhere. There are cast members located at the entrance to escort you in and orientate you to the restaurants layout. Each guest is given an item selection card that will be stamped by the different serving stations and used for billing purposes at the end of your meal. There are servers who will retrieve your beverage and answer any questions you may have.

The heart of this restaurant is the seven serving stations. There guests will find a wide variety of cuisines all presented and served from their own special location. Foods are prepared and served directly from these serving stations allowing you to involve all your senses in the decision process.

Having been caught in the overall Southwestern theme of the resort I gave only a polite glance at the Chinese and Italian offerings, as well as, the other cuisines and focused on the Mexican food station. After ordering the Chicken Quesadilla I waited only briefly as it was prepared fresh and plated up for me.

I carried my lunch on a tray and re-located myself at my table to find that the drink I had ordered had been placed there along with a setting of metal utensils and napkin. My meal was plentiful, tasty and hot. Many aspects of this special “fast food” or “counter service” restaurant contributed to an enjoyable lunchtime experience. The atmosphere was both relaxing and engaging. The food was fresh and well prepared. And the fact that it was served on plates with real utensils for me made it feel more like a meal than just a bite on the run.
