La Cantina De San Angel
Located in Epcot - Mexico Pavilion in World Showcase
Lunch - January 2004

Depending upon where you enter World Showcase, the Mexico Pavilion is either the first or the last country that you encounter. For us it was the last country in our casual stroll on the promenade that circumvents World Showcase Lagoon. As noon time approached the simple fact that we found ourselves standing in front of the Cantina de San Angel, which is the counter service restaurant located just across from Mexico more than anything else helped us in making this our choice for lunch.

Taking a moment to review the menu posted at the entrance I found the typical foods that you would encounter at a fast food Mexican restaurant back home. Not wanting to wrestle with any big decisions during this vacation I selected the Combo Plate.

As I carried my tray with its combination of Chicken Taco, Beef Taco and a Quesadilla served with Black Beans and Mexican salsa we found a table over looking World Showcase Lagoon in the restaurants open air patio. The Mexican fare was tasty and filling and managed to satisfy our appetites without taking too large of a bite out of our vacation budget. Any disappointment I might have felt would have been in the presentation. My combo meal was served in the standard Styrofoam to go container and could have been a little warmer. I did not have an overly zealous level of anticipation, so I enjoyed the meal and the view and simply continued enjoying a very pleasant day at Epcot
