1900 Park Fare
Located Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
An All You Care to Eat Character Dinner Buffet
Getting from Disney’s Wilderness Lodge where we were
staying to our destination the 1900 Park Fare restaurant at Disney’s Grand
Floridian Resort took some planning. Would it be worth the effort? I
wondered.
When we arrived at this the flagship of Disney Resorts with it’s
white framed buildings, verandas, dormers and turrets all set beneath a
red-shingled roof all my doubts began to evaporate. We felt as if we had
been transported to a Grand Victorian 19th century ocean resort. The five
story opulent lobby with its crystal chandeliers only furthered the sense
that tonight would be special.
The restaurant which is located just off the
grand lobby is light and airy and fits in well with the surrounding
elegance, but yet still allowed us to feel comfortable and relaxed. Our
server was prompt in taking our drink orders and in explaining how the
characters would work the room. She then directed us to the buffet before
disappearing to retrieve our drinks and the house “Monkey” rolls (a sweet
bread) served with butter. As we wandered back and forth to the buffet
sampling from the many items Cinderella and some of her friends Prince
Charming, Suzy & Perla came by individually allowing more than enough
time for pictures, autographs and a hug or two.
As with most character
meals at Walt Disney World the character encounter is the draw, but I
found this buffet to have a varied enough selection of some pretty good
food to satisfy our hungry appetites. The kids have their special buffet
offering of sure fire hits such as; fish nuggets, chicken nuggets, PB&J
sandwich triangles, macaroni and cheese, mini hot dogs, and hamburgers.
Dinner at the big kids buffet features carved meats – including prime rib,
and a variety of other hot entrees, along with salads, vegetables, breads
and desserts.
1900 Park Fare is located at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
Characters may include; Cinderella, Prince Charming, Suzy & Perla, Fairy
Godmother, Lady Tremaine, Anastasia and Drizella.
All you can eat dinner buffet.
Cost is Adults - $28.99, Children 3-9 $13.99. Tax and gratuity extra.

Disney Tip:
After you dine you want to find yourselves a comfortable spot in the
resorts lobby. Sip a glass of wine or simply sit back, relax
and take in this opulent and gorgeous resort. The resorts orchestra can be
heard from the second floor as they play at different times through the
night only adding to the enjoyment. |
