1900 Park Fare - Character Breakfast
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Disney World’s flagship resort the Grand Floridian Resort has a lot going for it. It is much more than a mere hotel, it is luxury personified in all of the details from the public restrooms, furniture and the grand curving staircases with steps so wide an entire family can stop for a nap as you walk to the monorail station that whisks you quietly and quickly through Disney World. It is not the luxurious rooms and suites with their gorgeous furnishings and wonderful views.

What I enjoy most is taking our three year old grandson to breakfast here in the Park Fare Restaurant which is right off the beautiful lobby of the Grand Floridian Resort and watching the sheer delight that lights up his entire body as he spots the Disney characters working the room. He doesn’t just smile, he positively radiates joy. If I could put that look on his face by just entering a room I would feel that I’m the luckiest man in the world.

I had no idea he was such a fan of Tigger until he started jumping up and down mimicking the actions as Tigger approached our table. During our nightly reading I had never seen such a reaction , I thought he was going to jump out of his skin as Tigger stopped at the table next to us and played with the two little girls seated there who were also so excited they quickly forgot about eating the delicious breakfast served here.

Among the characters we saw on our recent visit besides the previously mentioned Tigger, there was the most famous bear in the world, Pooh who works the room to the delight of all of the children and a great many adults. Then there was Alice of Alice in Wonderland and one of her sidekicks bringing smiles and laughter to one and all.

No matter how white your hair becomes the scene that plays here each day will delight you and keep you ever young. Just another reason to grab the kids and grandkids and enjoy another visit to Walt Disney World where attractions are constantly being added and improvements made on the existing facilities, all for your enjoyment.
This is a wonderful time of year in Disney World, mild weather, longer days, and great savings to go along with a great time.
