Mickey’s Pool

Mickey’s Pool, one of 3 freshwater pools on the Disney Dream, is a Children’s pool shaped like Mickey Mouse that’s located at Deck 11, Midship. Designed for young kids, this sparkling pool features Mickey Mouse’s happy face at the pool bottom and has a maximum depth of 2 feet.

While cooling off in Mickey’s pool, children can safely splash and make friends during their cruise vacation. In addition, those who meet appropriate age and height restrictions can use the pool’s slide.

Mickey’s Pool and family-friendly Donald’s Pool are both located in the same area between the forward and aft funnel. This provides an ideal situation for parents with children of varying ages who wish to explore both pools.

Crew Members host games and activities in the Mickey’s Pool are at various times daily. Check the Personal Navigator once onboard for the most accurate activities schedule.

Dining

After working up an appetite, swing by a Quick Service restaurant—Flo’s Café—that sits relatively close, next to Donald’s Pool. It is themed after the Disney animated feature film, Cars, and is actually comprised of several food stations, each with its own name: Tow-Mater’s Grill, Luigi’s Pizza and Fillmore’s Favorites. In addition, there is an ice cream station called Eye Scream Treats, themed after Mike Wazowski from Monsters, Inc., and a smoothie bar called Frozone Treats, themed after the character Frozone from the Disney animated film, The Incredibles. Please note that food and beverages are not allowed in the pools or whirlpool spas.

Operating times are likely to vary, so once you’re onboard check the Personal Navigator—the Disney Cruise Line daily newsletter detailing all there is to see and do—for the most accurate times.

Mickey’s Pool Slide
Suspended by a gigantic Mickey Mouse hand, the yellow slide at Mickey’s Pool twists and turns, beginning one deck above the pool and splashing down right next to it—all the while allowing children an exciting and safe ride. A minimum height of 38 inches (3′ 2″) and a maximum height of 64 inches (5′ 4″) are required to use the slide.

Young Children at Mickey’s Pool
The United States Public Health Service requires that only children who are toilet trained are permitted to enter swimming pools and spas aboard cruise ships.

Children who are not toilet trained are welcome to enjoy Nemo’s Reef and Mickey’s Splash Zone, where they must wear swim diapers. Please note, swim diapers are not permitted in the pools, hot tubs or spas, the AquaDuck and the AquaLab.

Coast Guard personal flotation devices (PFDs), water wings and flotation sewn into bathing suits can be brought onboard and are permitted in Mickey’s Pool. However, floats, rafts and fun noodles cannot be brought onboard and are not permitted in the pools.

Pool Vests
As a courtesy, complimentary pool vests are now available on the pool decks aboard all ships. These vests can only be worn by children in the swimming pools to help with flotation, and must not be taken ashore at ports of call, including Castaway Cay. Please note that pool vests are not a substitute for the lifejackets located in Guest staterooms, nor are they a substitution for adult supervision.

Please note that snorkel equipment and swim goggles are not permitted in pools, hot tubs or water-play areas.
