Amanda Gonzales

My name is Amanda McKittrick Gonzales and I am a specialist in Disney Destinations and Family travel. I love planning detailed Itineraries for trips! I have been married to my wonderful husband for 9 years and we have four children, our son Gabriel is 8 and is a Disney history buff and an avid hidden Mickey detective, our daughter Isabella is 6 and is a pirate adventurer, our daughter Sophia is 4 and is all about the princesses and our daughter Amelia is 1 and in love with Pluto and Donald. I grew about visiting Disney once a year and shared my passion for Disney travel with my husband and now with my children, family, friends and clients . I have visited over 30 times; as a child, a teen, a married couple without kids and now as a mother to very young children. Our son and oldest child has Autism and several other disabilities and we have found that Disney has made family travel both magical and easy for us in dealing with our son's challenges. Aside from traveling around the world, my interests include running, reading, community service and coaching field hockey.

I have two favorite Disney moments
Gabriel who has autism had a significant speech delay and as of age 2.5 had never been able to say a two word sentence despite a year of intense speech therapy. We had just ridden Dumbo in Fantasy Land when he looked up at my husband and I and pointed to the Dumbo ride and said Ride Dumbo! Pure Magic!

We were waiting for our lunch reservation at the Crystal Palace when our oldest daughter Isabella who was 3 at the time was both hungry and tired and started to meltdown. A little boy siting across from us around age 8 or 9, walked over to her and gave her his own beautiful Mickey Balloon and told us that it looked like she needed the balloon more than he did. This was a huge thrill for my daughter and promptly ended her tears. The selflessness and caring nature of this young boy was a perfect example of a magical Disney moment.

Splash Mountain in the Magic Kingdom. Soarin in Epcot, Dinosaur in the Animal Kingdom and Toy Story Mania in Hollywood Studios.

The California Grill, Teppan Edo in Japan and the Hoop De Doo Review Dinner Show.

Polynesian, Port Orleans French Quarter and Pop Century.

Our Family planned our Disney vacation with Amanda Gonzales and were grateful for all of the advice. We had not been to Disney since we were kids ourselves - and wow how things have changed. With the lack of free time that we have - it was great to have someone help us plan our trip that has been to Disney several times. Mandy helped us plan strategy on what to see, where to stay, and what was realistic to do with the age child we were bringing. Mandy's experience having 4 kids and navigating Disney definetely helps. We were so thankful to get all of the advice about restaurants and reservations. Reservations are a must have if you want to eat at any of the nice places. You can now book reservations multiple months in advance and cannot just show up and expect to eat at those places. We were also appreciative about the advice on the meal plan. We would have never thought that we would use all of the points with the deluxe plan - it came in very useful trying to do all of the character meals and fancy dining - allowed you to get more with meal with that plan. The only out of pocket expense we had all week was gratuity for our sit down meals and bar tab.
